Stand Up for Our Communities: Vote NO on I-2066

This November, we have an important decision to make that will affect our wallets, our health, and our environment. We urge you to vote “NO” on I-2066, an initiative that threatens the energy efficiency progress we've made and puts powerful special interests ahead of our communities.

If passed, I-2066 would lead to increased energy bills for everyone, particularly impacting low-income families. It would force utility companies to invest in outdated technology instead of modern, efficient solutions, passing those costs onto consumers. Additionally, this initiative would dismantle critical energy efficiency programs and eliminate valuable rebates for energy-saving appliances.

The repercussions extend beyond our pocketbooks. I-2066 would roll back existing laws designed to help Washington transition to clean energy, jeopardizing air quality protections and limiting local governments' ability to make decisions that benefit their communities.

Backed by powerful lobbyists from the Building Industry Association of Washington and other groups, this initiative would allow fossil fuel companies to continue polluting our air and worsening climate change, ultimately harming future generations.

Let’s come together to protect our environment and our wallets. Vote NO on I-2066 and help ensure a cleaner, more efficient energy future for all.
